Mobile Music Players

Mobile music players (also called MP3 Players) have become very popular. Such players generally use USB to allow any computer system manage the files on them. Some (iPod and Creative Zen, neither of which support ogg)) require additional software which is appearing on GNU/Linux (gtkpod and gnomad2). Firmware upgrades also generally no longer require a particular computer operating system, simply requiring downloading a file to a specific location on the player (as in iRiver and iAudio players which both support ogg).

In this section we include player specific information for a number of players.
