Q: How to mount/unmount network folders manually, and allow all users to read?

  1. Read General Notes
  2. Read How to install Samba Server for files/folders sharing service?
  3. e.g. Assumed that network connections have been configured properly
         Network computer's IP:
         Network computer's Username: myusername
         Network computer's Password: mypassword
         Shared folder's name: linux
         Local mount folder: /media/sharename
  4. To mount network folder
    sudo mkdir /media/sharename
    sudo mount // /media/sharename/ -o username=myusername,password=mypassword
  5. To unmount network folder
    sudo umount /media/sharename/
