The Dialogs submenu of the Toolbox's File menu contains a list of available dialogs that you can use while you are editing an image -- patterns, palettes, brushes, etc. You can open and close dialogs as needed, or, if you want them to stay around, you can dock them. Dialogs are described in detail in Chapter 9, Dialogs
