7.9. Installing via FTP or HTTP
The URL dialog applies only if you are installing from a FTP or HTTP server (if you selected
dialog). This dialog prompts you for information about the FTP or HTTP server from which you are installing Fedora.
Enter the name or IP address of the FTP or HTTP site you are installing from, and the name of the directory containing your architecture. For example, if the FTP or HTTP site contains the directory
is replaced with the architecture type of your system, such as i386). If everything was specified properly, a message box appears indicating that files are being retrieved from the server.
You can save disk space by using the ISO images you have already copied to the server. To accomplish this, install Fedora using ISO images without copying them into a single tree by loopback mounting them. For each ISO image:
mount -o loop Fedora11-disc
X with the corresponding disc number.
