Server Locators

Description:
This extension point is used to locate new servers on the local or remote machines.

id    CDATA #IMPLIED

name  CDATA #IMPLIED>

  • point - a fully qualified identifier of the target extension point
  • id - an optional identifier of the extension instance
  • name - an optional name of the extension instance

id                  CDATA #REQUIRED

class               CDATA #REQUIRED

supportsRemoteHosts CDATA #REQUIRED

typeIds             CDATA #REQUIRED>

  • id - specifies a unique identifier for this extension point
  • class - specifies the fully qualified name of the Java class that implements ServerLocatorDelegate. Server locator instances of this type will delegate to instances of this class.
  • supportsRemoteHosts - true if the server supports remote server support, and false if only local servers are supported
  • typeIds - a comma separated list of server type ids. May include wildcards (*) at the end of an id

The following is an example of a server locator extension point:
