Logging Out from Kubuntu

There are several ways to log out of, or end, your Kubuntu session. Use one of these procedures if you wish to switch users, shutdown or reboot your system.

Right-click on an empty area of your Kubuntu Desktop and choose Log Out user... (where “user” represents your username).

Log Out Menu Item

You may also click on The K Menu icon in the Toolbar and choose Log Out....

The K Menu Log Out Item

Either of the log out methods described above will result in the End Session Screen.

End Session Screen

Choosing End Current Session will quit your Kubuntu session and return you to the “login” screen where you can switch users and start a new session, reboot or shutdown. Choosing Turn Off Computer will shutdown and power-off your system. Clicking on Restart Computer will reboot.
