8.6.32 Redeliver mbox contents
You need to manually deliver mails to the sorted mailboxes in your home
directory from /var/mail/username if your home
directory became full and procmail failed. After making disk
space in the home directory, run:
# /etc/init.d/exim stop
# formail -s procmail </var/mail/username
# /etc/init.d/exim start
For Sarge, replace exim with exim4.
