Problem Solutions

By default an Oracle 10g installation will run an XDB server on port 8080. Users may need to run some commands in order to change the default port from 8080 to some other port. The problem is that port 8080 is also used by tomcat for serving JSPs/Servlets. Further information is available from http://www.idevelopment.info/data/Oracle/DBA_tips/xmldb/XMLDB_2.shtml#ChangingXMLDBDefaultPorts
