Defining Link Properties

After you link the pages of a Web application, you must define the link properties.

To define link properties:

  1. On the Navigation Rule page of the JSF Application Configuration Editor, with the Palette open, select Select on the Palette.

This activates the Select control, which allows you to select a link in the editor.

  2. Select the link for which you want to define properties.

The Quick Edit tab of Properties displays Link properties.

  3. Click the ellipsis after the From Outcome field.

The Outcome Selection dialog box appears.

  4. Either type the outcome or select an outcome from the Action list and click OK.

  5. Click the arrow in the Redirect field and select either true or false.

  6. Repeat steps 2 - 5 to define each link in the Web application.

  7. Select File|Save from the main menu bar to save the faces-config.xml file.
